RAMBUS ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF THE "INNOVATOR OF THE FUTURE" SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

Undergraduate scholarship award recognizes passion for science and technology

LOS ALTOS, Calif. — June 7, 2007 — Rambus Inc., one of the world’s premier technology licensing companies specializing in high-speed chip architectures, today announced it has awarded its “Innovator of the Future” scholarships to Nwamaka Uzoh of St. Francis High School (Mountain View) and Justin Lan of Pinewood School (Los Altos Hills). The Rambus “Innovator of the Future” scholarship awards program, established in 2005, seeks to broaden the educational opportunities of students who, by virtue of their academic and extracurricular achievement, demonstrate a passion for science and technology that extends beyond the classroom.

Nwamaka Uzoh and Justin Lan have each been awarded $10,000 for college or university tuition and books at a U.S. or foreign college or university. The scholarship money will be distributed in equal increments over 4 years at the beginning of each academic year.

"Innovation is at the heart of Rambus, and we are proud to foster the next generation of innovators," said Harold Hughes, president and chief executive officer of Rambus Inc. "In addition to their outstanding academic records, these students demonstrate exceptional leadership skills through their valuable contributions to the community."

In addition to the scholarship awards, a one-time award of $1,000 will go to each of the four finalists in this year's scholarship program: Daniel Brenner, Pinewood School; Victoria Liu, Los Altos High School; Max Vujovic, Mountain View High School; and Marloes Sijstermans, Mountain View High School.

Eligibility for the Rambus "Innovator of the Future" scholarship award extends to individuals attending a high school located in either Mountain View or Los Altos, CA, and graduating before fall 2007 with plans to attend a four-year college or university program of study beginning in fall 2007.
